Doing quite well there Jamie, just Appleford left :)

He is doing well and he's brought up nostalgic memories of when I scored some of those, not to mention made me jealous he's got Tackley done before me, nor to mention how much I need to get back to that part of the world!

And I forgot about Kings Sutton, but that is one if you can time it right can be a short fester.

Reminds me I need to do Tackley properly at some point (seeing as I walked there from Heyford only for the next couple northbound services getting cancelled due to Slough going wrong, resulting in a bus move to escape).

How bad were your festers at Monifieth, Barry Links, Golf Street and Carnoustie?

Walked to a bus stop opposite Monifieth tesco for a bus to Barry, walked to Barry Links for a rough 35 minute fester. At Golf Street after a couple photos it was a fast walk to Carnoustie (less than 10 minutes) to catch a Glasgow bound service.

Had more festering at Gretna Green in the early morning

Impressive, that's for sure. I still couldn't count Norton Bridge by that rule, in my eyes it's as good as closed as it's simply inaccessible in terms of the platforms.

Not really a lot else I can do on a Sunday with my Scottish requirements, although the end is in sight for the Aberdeen line :)

Well done on scoring Portlethen, as it is not an easy one to do.

On a point of information, I have never been on a train that has called at Portlethen.

It's one you need to time it right.

I believe that apart from Cambridge North, that is all shacks visited which sees Cross Country either serve or pass through :D

Did you have a stroll from Kingussie to Newtonmore like I did? Absolutely gorgeous part of the world.

No walking today, sadly I did hope to get Tain into the book but the 170 I was on from Inverness found it hard work climbing up the hill, loosing 10 minutes in the process.

Agreed it be a beautiful line, better on a HST though :D

Congratulations on clearing the Highland Main Line, and indeed for making a good start on the Far North. Having already heard about some of the issues encountered, you're doing well!
