I think we were on the same train. I saw someone get off at Achnasheen and then later I saw your picture on Twitter. First time I'd even been on the line so I was off to the end and then managed a couple of other shacks with a walk in between with the missus. I'm a long way to clearing the line for shacks but at least I've made a start! :)

That might have been me, 2nd Kyle train of the day (158714)? Called unusually at the remote and mostly featureless Lochluichart

I'm guessing you did the walk from Plockton to Duncraig via the castle and a long hill?

Yes that was the train. We went into Plockton for lunch and then did walk round to Duncraig. Weather was amazing that day too which helped!

Nice! None of them are super limited frequencies either from memory!
Indeed not. I could have got Wigton and Silecroft as well yesterday but I wasn't up for a super early finish.

I had a choice of Wigton or Braystones as well, and of course I picked the one with a limited service. My logic is that Wigton can be scooped up easily from the Carlisle direction, and the rest can be picked up from the Barrow and Lancaster end (I need everything Lancaster to Barrow as well) so no more slow albeit scenic slogs around the coast for the foreseeable!

If I recall correctly, the additional two are due for delivery in late 2017 so it may be wise to await the seasonal service increase at Easter 2018 before attempting to bash those two. Remember, in the off season there's only about six trams out daily...

I noticed that with the timetable dropping to 4 trams an hour during the winter months. I did well making use of the enhanced timetable for the lights towards Little Bispham, and on the Sunday making use of some of the tiny distances between stops to grab two for the price of one (to save waiting around for ~10 minutes at stops)

Congratulations on clearing the Whitby line shacks Kite :)

Expecting to post quite the list on this thread next week after Tech's October Fest, although the post I plan to make on 2017's Shack Attack thread in January will be even better <D

Kite, that really is... either incredibly dedicated or completely crazy! Congrats!

I was just wandering, what's the largest station that people need in terms of number of trains serving it and the smallest station people have had, again in terms of number of services that serve it. I think my largest is probably Glasgow Central but I've no idea on my smallest.
