I had a +3 today due to it being a match day at Birmingham City. How're you going to get it next week?

I intend to do it via the one service of the day on Saturday, ie the harder way. I can't have Saturdays off normally so I can't wait to get it the easy way.

Whether I walk to Bordesley and join the train there or alight from it and walk back into town remains to be seen!

Be careful when walking through that part of Brum. Very, very dodgy area.

Good luck though! :D

Cheers for the warning, I had a hunch it wasn't the nicest area. Might be on a Daytripper so would be happy to use a bus away from it!

Maybe aim for them on Saturday after you do that certain shack outside Moor Street? ;)

Looked like Coventry arena is covered by the network west midlands Daytripper area (owing to the station signs having the "N" logo on) so you probably only need a Coventry Arena - Bermuda Day Return, and either fester for an hour in one of the many shops/food outlets or try and get back to Coventry (or Canley) via bus(es)

Making use of the £1 specials Adam? ;)

I'm surprised you haven't cleared everything in the SPT area

I have indeed used the £1 specials :)

Although I've not scored every station in the SPT area, I've covered the track and have been on services that have called at all stations in the area. Of note, as I reside north of the mighty Clyde, I've not scored many intermediate stations south of the river.

I got a lot of the 318s, 320s, and 334s in 2014 during the Commonwealth Games when I was travelling to and from Partick, by means of linear hopping between Bellgrove and Partick.

Most of my 380s were cleared when travelling Glasgow Central - Paisley GS when visiting my partner. As I've cleared all of the electric fleet, I only require 4x170s, 17x156s, and 11x158s to clear the diesel fleet.

For 2016, my intention is to score the remaining stations in G, KA, ML, PA1 - 19, EH, FK (only require both Tyndrum stations), and KY postcode areas. All of this can be done with the SPT Daytripper (KA and PA1 -19) and Central Scotland Rover (EH/KY/ML). In my original neck of the woods of the West Midlands, I'm thinking of clearing mainly CV, as with the exception of Coventry, Leamington Spa, Rugby, and Stratford-upon-Avon, I've never scored any others in that postcode area.

Sounds like you'll be a busy bee when you come back to the Midlands! I've been mostly the opposite to you, most of my shack requirements are north of the Clyde, although I still need some south of the river mind.

Outside the SPT Daytripper area, the only shacks I need in the Central Scotland rover area are now Addiewell and Breich. Those two *should* be done tomorrow!

As someone who used to work right next to Bordesley station for four years and a resident of Birmingham for over 20 years, as long as you are planning to walk from Bordesley to the city centre in the daytime and go along the main road, it is not dodgy at all. In the evening you might encounter drunks around Digbeth.

Now if you were planning on walking to Small Heath, then please ask for directions - although again, during the daytime, you'd be fine.
