Footage of Severn Valley Railway locomotive on 50th anniversary
Volunteers at a heritage railway are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first locomotive to travel on the restored line.
Large crowds turned out on 25 March, 1967, to see locomotive No 3205 steam out of Bridgnorth's Severn Valley Railway station, in Shropshire.
The railway has released colour footage of the day to mark the occasion.
The event helped raise the £25,000 needed to finance the running of steam trains along a six-and-a-half mile stretch of track to Hampton Loade.
Fifty years on, the Severn Valley Railway is now a major West Midlands tourist attraction running trains throughout the year from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, in Worcestershire.

Footage predates H&S somewhat.
