Most directors of pirate films, when searching the United Kingdom for a location to set their film, would very often select the easternmost "large" town on the south coast of Cornwall (as opposed to the more obvious Penzance, which is the westernmost) - Looe.

When I first went to Mousehole I thought it was literally pronounced "mouse hole" and not "mousall". Even my mother knew that
