Poulton Lancelyn was a distinguished 19th century Shakespearean actor, particularly noted for his role as Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night.
No? All right then. Actually this is almost as interesting. Poulton Lancelyn comes within the borough of Bebington in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, in Merseyside, England. Stone quarried at Bebington was used for the construction of Birkenhead Town Hall, some of the villas around Birkenhead and Rock Parks and most famously of all the Empire State Building in New York City. New York City is not the only New York; the better known one is a hamlet in East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The hamlet has a population of less than 150 at count in 2001. It is situated in the Lincolnshire Fens, on the B1192 road 18 km north of Boston.
