Scrabster is at one end of the A9; the other end is in Polmont. (Historically it started in Corstorphine, Edinburgh, but the airport got built over some of it and it got shortened. More info on the SABRE wiki.)

There is more than one place in Cumbria that goes by the name "Seathwaite". This is also true of Bromley in London, although only the larger of the two commonly uses this name now (owing to LUL influence). Continuing from Bromley in South London please :)

The syllables in "Swansea" also all begin with the same letter.

:? One begins with S and one begins with E...

Swan - Sea ?

York is the home of a couple of well-known confectionery companies, as is Sheffield.

Swan - Sea ?

Swans - ea (it's pronounced with a 'z' sound, and S can't do that at the start of a syllable). Also being as it means Sweyn's Ey (island).

Portsmouth's history has also been affected by one I.K.Brunel.

 Always try to avoid using it wherever possible. It's just that sometimes you get the odd dud that is really hard to follow on from...!

the MP for Blackburn since 1979 has been John Whitaker Straw, also known as Jack Straw, who is not, as might be thought, the one after whom Jack Straw's Castle, the well known hostlery on Hampstead Heath, London, is named.

Wootton Bassett has recently been given the prefix "Royal", which has adorned Tunbridge Wells for over a century (1909).
