The name of Tingley, City of Leeds, West Yorkshire: is akin, derivation-wise. Per the various "old tongues": t(h)ing = legislative or judicial assembly. The Orkney settlement's name means "field of" same; the Yorkshire one's, "mound / hill / burial mound" thereof. (Tingley thus reckoned as the probable meeting place for the Morley Wapentake.)Tingwall in Orkney also has a ferry terminal.
