Thank you !Ipswich Town's nickname as a football club is "The Tractor Boys", which although appearing to connote to Suffolk's agricultural history, is actually a fairly recent jib by away fans (believed to be Birmingham in 1998), which Ipswich fans then reclaimed for their own.
Another team who it's theorised did this were West Bromwich Albion, known as the "Baggies". Allegedly, fans from cross city rivals Aston Villa mocked the baggy trousers that West Brom fans turned up to games in, and the nickname stuck. This is a disputed take, but nonetheless bears resemblance to that of Ipswich's.
Of course, West Brom play their games in West Bromwich, West Midlands
