Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) is also on the A3054
Author John Anthony Miller was born in Falmouth but raised in the Southsea district of Portsmouth. Better known by his nom de plume Peter Pook, he wrote a series of very loosely autobiographical comic novels, most of which had the word 'Pook' in the title (eg Pook in Boots). Quite well known in the sixties and seventies, he died aged 60 in 1978 and seems now to be more or less totally forgotten.
Llanarthney in Carmarthenshire also has a noted botanic garden.
The church in Llangunnor is dedicated to St Ceinwr, otherwise Cein, Cain, Keyne, one of the 'saintly daughters' of Brychan Brycheiniog; she despised marriage and became known as Cein-wyry, 'Cein the virgin', giving rise to the name Ceinwr and also Gaynor. She departed her home and lived for many years as a hermit in Keynsham, Somerset, before returning to establish a religious house, possibly in Glamorgan
