I've done this one a couple of years ago; but, according to local lore, the people of Wing are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Hence the legend of their, one year, seeking to build a hedge around a cuckoo: so as to keep the bird in the vicinity all year and every year, whereby it would be forever spring. This tale is told of other settlements with proverbially, shall we say naive, inhabitants; a famous one of same being Gotham, Nottinghamshire.
(Since recently watching "Springwatch" on TV: including, evening after evening, the totally merciless behaviour of a cuckoo chick toward the pair of meadow-pipits on which it was parasitising -- having tipped the genuine pipit eggs out of the nest -- I have rather gone off cuckoos.)
