Holy Trinity Church, Coventry dates from the 12th century and is the only Medieval church in Coventry that is still complete. It was restored in 1665 – 1668, and the tower was recased in 1826 by the English architect Thomas Rickman (1776 – 1841). Another of his works is St Peter ad Vincula Church, Hampton Lucy, Warwickshire.
An interesting inhabitant of Hampton Lucy was the Rev. Canon Osbert Mordaunt, who per Wiki, was for twenty years the proprietor of the village public house, and rector of the village from 1874 to 1922 (it's not made clear whether he carried on both occupations simultaneously, but one can hope). Another jovial and hospitable clerical gentleman -- whom I have used previously in the game -- was the Rev. John Hodges, 17th-century rector of Shackerstone, Leicestershire; who under the Cromwellian regime got into trouble for being generally more jolly than was seemly for one of his calling; plus, for entertaining Royalist sympathies.
