Assuming that we're continuing with Eniskerry ....
The village has been the set for numerous television advertisements and, from 1996 to 2001, it played host to the television series Ballykissangel. Another location used in the series was Avoca, County Wicklow.

Amlwch has a pub called the Mariner; Trimley St. Mary, Suffolk (near Felixstowe) has one called the Mariners.

'tis confused I'm becoming -- I'll strike through my post #27,847, if doing so comes to be in line with the general "feeling of the meeting".

Quite recently, a prominent local figure in Kilgarvan lobbied Kerry County Council for it being allowed to issue permits to inhabitants of isolated rural areas, to let them drive cautiously home from the pub, after moderate alcoholic intake. This would probably have been looked on favourably by Auberon Waugh (1939 -- 2001), son of novelist Evelyn: abrasive journalist and "professional contrarian", who raged against anti-drink-driving legislation as an offence against personal liberty. Waugh dwelt long in Combe Florey, Somerset; north-west of Taunton.

Near Cheddon Fitzpaine is Hestercombe House and Gardens; which gardens are the brain-child of the celebrated garden-designing duo Sir Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll. The same pair also designed the gardens of the house Munstead Woods at Busbridge, Surrey (just outside Godalming).

The Church of St John the Baptist, Busbridge, is of Bargate stone with chalky limestone Quoins, a central tower and windows. It was built in a 13th-century style, consecrated on completion in 1867. Its designer was George Gilbert Scott, and is Grade II* listed. Another building bearing the same grade of listing is St John's Jerusalem or Sutton-at-Hone Preceptory; this is a National Trust property at Sutton-at-Hone, Kent which includes the 13th century chapel of the Knights Hospitaller and a garden moated by the River Darent.

In times long gone by, Sussex was divided into administrative districts called "Rapes"; and Kent similarly, into "Lathes". Sutton-at-Hone gave its name to one Lathe; another was the Lathe of Aylesford, near Maidstone.

Tonbridge is noteworthy in a minor way, for being the place where -- at its Petty Sessions court -- the UK's first fine for speeding in a motor vehicle, was levied -- the guilty party being one Walter Arnold, who in 1896 had travelled in his Karl Benz car at 8 mph in a 2 mph zone at nearby Paddock Wood; he was fined one shilling. On a darker theme of automobile-related milestones: in that same year there occurred the UK's first fatal car accident -- in Crystal Palace, South London, Bridget Driscoll was fatally run over by a Roger-Benz car.

Crystal Palace is a somewhat nebulous district, spreading into five London boroughs. Less nebulous but with an equally fragmented administrative history until recentish times (if 1540 and the 1890s can be so described) is the town of Royston in Hertfordshire, formerly in two counties (Herts and Cambs) and five parishes.

Royston Town FC play at Garden Walk, Royston and currently plays in the Southern League Premier Division Central.
Bedford Town FC are also currently members of the same league and play at the Eyrie in Cardington, a village on the outskirts of Bedford.

In the rather brief era when airships were to the fore -- particularly in military application -- airship activity was conducted at Cardington; also at Kingsnorth, Kent (near Ashford).

Quatford lies on the A442 road; Crudgington (Borough of Telford & Wrekin) lies just off that same road.

Longdon-upon-Tern has a pub called the Tayleur Arms -- seemingly a pub name unique in these islands. However; with at least a slight resemblance name-wise, is the hostelry in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, called the Tipsy Tailor.
