Lancaster is also twinned with a settlement in Denmark. East Kilbride's "twin" is Ballerup; Lancaster's is Aalborg.

Conwy (Conwy County Borough) also has a namesake settlement in Prince Edward Island, Canada. (The Canadian settlement actually uses the spelling current in Britain in times past -- "Conway" -- but, one figures, "close enough...")

Southsea in Hampshire, like Corfe Castle, has a model village (in the sense of a miniature) within its environs. Corfe's is a model of itself. Southsea's looks to be a bit more freelance!

Worth Matravers in Dorset is also situated on the so-called 'Isle' of Purbeck....in reality a wide peninsular.

@DerekC beat me to it by about a millisecond. Please continue from Southsea.

Southsea's Canoe Lake is the last remnant of what was, till the 19th century, a wide expanse of marsh and open water. It offers a good opportunity to see water birds -- including, per Wiki, "sometimes a lone feral black swan". Dawlish, Devon: has as residents on the watercourse through the town, several black swans -- descendants of those introduced by a long-ago benefactor.

Cockenzie in East Lothian also once had a coastally-sited coal-fired power station (visible across the Firth of Forth from the one at Methil - and vice versa).

HMS Bristol (D23) was a Type 82 Destroyer, named after the City of Bristol and the only vessel of her class to be built for the Royal Navy. She was built by the Swan Hunter company which is based in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear.

Hebburn Town FC play at Hebburn Sports & Social Ground, and are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One East. Another member of the same division is Yorkshire Amateur AFC, who play at Bracken Edge, in the Potternewton (or, until recently, Potter Newton) area of Leeds.

Stoke-on-Trent is also twinned with a settlement in the German State of Bavaria. Bridgnorth's "twin" is Schrobenhausen (a new place to me -- one learns that it is only 25km. from Ingolstadt, which got a mention yesterday); Stoke's is Erlangen.

The brickworks at Claughton is fed from it's nearby clay pit by the last remaining aerial ropeway in the UK. At one time there were hundreds of these systems in use at collieries, brickworks, quarries and other types of industrial premises. One former installation was at Betchworth Lime Works in Surrey.
