Southwell is a minster town as is Reading
Nempnett Thrubwell was the subject of a Wurzels numberWiki says, in its delightfully prim way, "Nempnett Thrubwell's curiously comedic name makes the village something of a famous local attraction". Long ago, the humorist Paul Jennings felt similarly: he included this settlement in a list of bizarrely-named English villages, which also included Shudy Camps, Cambridgeshire (near Haverhill).

Saltersford in Lincolnshire also lies on the route of the Roman road known as Ermine Street.
