The Connel Bridge across the entrance to Loch Etive was built by Arrol's Bridge & Roof Company of Glasgow, responsible for many other bridges in the UK and overseas. Another interesting and less well known one is the White Cart Bridge at Renfrew, the only remaining Scherzer rolling lift bridge operational in the UK.
