East Bergholt's church bells are housed in a unique bell cage separate from the church. There are a number of churches in Britain with separate bell towers. Pembridge has one somewhat similar in appearance to East Bergholt, but taller.

St Michael's Church at Michaelchurch has in it the remains of a ciborium or canopied shrine, thought to be unique in Wales. Another has been reconstructed from fragments at Dorchester Abbey, Dorchester-on-Thames.

Older people will remember Gardeners' Question Time, when Bill Sowerbutts was introduced as being from 'Ashton under Lyne'. He came from there but his nursery was in Hollingworth.
