Hackney Wick is another location of the proposed London Ringway; a series of four ring roads planned in the 1960s to circle London at various distances from the city centre.

Gravesend is associated with Major-General Charles Gordon (1833–1885), who lived in the town during the construction of the Thames forts.

After his death in Khartoum, The Lord Mayor of London opened a public subscription to raise funds for a permanent memorial to Gordon. This eventually materialized as the Gordon Boys Home, now Gordon's School, in West End, Woking.

The other KINGSTON in Surrey
Technically now a London borough. Curse local government re-organisation...

Dursley in Gloucestershire is another location that has a connection to Hawker Siddeley. That company took over R.A. Lister of Dursley. Hawker Siddeley had its headquarters in Kingston-upon-Thames

Easingwold Cricket Club's First Team played in the Yorkshire Premier League North in 2017, although sadly they were relegated. One of the teams that they played during the season was Stamford Bridge Cricket Club's First Team, who were the runners up.

In 1848, it was written that Carburton was part of the Hatfield division of the Bassetlaw wapentake (equivalent to a hundred) north division of the county of Nottingham. The chief town in the hundred was East Retford.
