Broxbourne is also the birthplace of a Lib Dem MEP.

Menai Bridge (Anglesey) is also the location of an 1826 Thomas Telford suspension bridge.

The Settlement Association Quiz!

This works in exactly the same manner as the Station Association Quiz, only this thread concentrates on the thousands of inhabited locales throughout Gre
at Britain and Northern Ireland instead of their railway stations.

Adjudication.

Anglesey, as such is NOT a settlement, but a very large island with numerous settlements. If you know of the settlement to which the last post refers to, can the necessary amendment be made

Thank you for making that alteration.....

Rawtenstall also hosts an annual far.

To be pedantic, the Elgin marbles actually have nothing to do with the City of Elgin, rather are named after the Earl of Elgin (who didn't live there) who "acquired" them by some dubious means.

Anyway, Bovey Tracey is the start point of the Dartmoor Devil Bicycle Ride, which ends in nearby settlement of Manaton.

Highweek is another settlement that was once administered by the Hundred of Teignbridge.

A GENERAL REQUEST FOR CONTESTANTS TO NOTE

In future, can all associations upon this quiz be with the actual settlements concerned, as in the past, there have been posting submissions made where the SURNAME of a personage has been used to make an association rather than that of a settlement.

Inglesham (Wiltshire) also lent its name to a British Navy Ham Class inshore minesweeper.
