The Jesuit Priest and Poet Gerard Manley Hopkins studied at St Beuno's near Tremeirchion.

He had previously become a novice member of the Society of Jesus at Manresa House, Roehampton.

Captain Cook landed, in Australia, at a place now known as the Kurnell Peninsula. Cook originally christened the area as "Stingray Bay", but he later crossed it out and named it Botany Bay.

Botany Bay is also the name of a small hamlet in south Derbyshire which, despite the maritime reference in the hamlet’s name, the Ordnance Survey have calculated is the furthest point from the English coastline. The low water line at Fosdyke, on the edge of The Wash in Lincolnshire, being around 70 miles (113 kilometres) away.

I'm assuming that epiphet is applied to Whitfield, Northumberland. :D

I can't see it being applied to Whitfield, Gloucestershire.
