How fortunate you are to inhabit such an area of England with a vast amount of all type of historical connections....:D

Goltho is another area that had its church declared redundant by the Diocese of Lincoln..this one being St George's
Thank you.

The church was a fine building, but sadly ravaged by fire last October. It was abit of a yomp across a field to get to it, but i managed to visit during the West Lindsey Churches Festival a few years ago.

Sir Thomas Grantham, who was once Sherriff of Lincoln and served as an MP is buried at Goltho. He was knighted at Belvoir Castle.

Artifacts? You sure about that?

I am reliably informed that carbon dating of a carved bone ornament found in the area would have been from a dinosaur bone. If you go along the Fairlight foreshore to the east, dinosaur bones have been abstracted from the Wadhurst Clay Ironstone deposits found in that area.

Wolverhampton also has an annual Vegan festival.

Buckingham is another former medieval woollen "Staple Town".

Strood is also situated on the Thames & Medway canal. The Higham and Strood tunnel is 3.5 km (2.2 mi) long, and was the second longest canal tunnel built in the UK.
