Isn't that pelagian, in so far as Uffington Church is often called "The Cathedral of the Dale" but is not a cathedral, and Tideswell is often called "The cathedral of the Peak" although it is not a cathedral either.

Therefore to repeat the association with St Peter's Brighton, which is also not a cathedral, is using the same association.
