Ripon

The diocese of Southwell in the Cof E, has recently been renamed "Southwell & Nottingham" as "Southwell" is unfamiliar to some.

Likewise the diocese of Ripon is now named "Ripon & Leeds" as "Leeds" is considered to be more familiar.

[Incidentally, too, Ripon & Southwell, along with Wells, are traditional cathedral cities now with no rail access.]

Great Hale [near Heckington, Lincolnshire]

[Much Wenlock is prefixed "Much" to distinguish it from the smaller "Little" Wenlock. Likewise "Great" Hale [ or "Hale Magna" as it's known on High Days and Holy Days] distinguishes it from it's neighbour "Little" Hale [or Hale Parva]

Scrayingham in North Yorkshire has a church (St Peter and St Paul) that has Saxon construction....as does the church of St John the Baptist at Great Hale
