Incidentally Kingussie Camanachd shinty team is according to the Guinness book of records the worlds most successful sporting team of all time.

This was from going 4 years unbeaten and winning 20 consecutive leagues.

Aviemore also have a football team, Aviemore Thistle FC , as do Newtonmore, who play in the Strathspey and Badendoch Welfare league...The only problem is that Aviemore Thistle are usually bottom of the league, similar to Fort William in the Highland League.
