Hmm- Bolltravagh seems to be a sea inlet with a naust* and a single croft and not much else! The nearest settlement on North Uist is Carinish which is the site of the last battle in the British Isles fought with bows and arrows, between the MacDonalds and the MacLeods in 1601. One of the first battles at which the use of the longbow is well documented is the Battle of the Standard fought near Northallerton between the English and the Scots in 1138.
