Not many people know that Bassett Sweets used to have a main distribution centre at Roydon Herts but their London factory was in Wood Green

There is a a famous bridge at Ironbridge as well it being a settlement of the same name

(I know it is not an an onomatopoeia but there has to be a special name for such things - Paul??)

The Old Bridge (Welsh: Yr Hen Bont), in Pontypridd is another Scheduled Ancient Monument, protected by law. Malmesbury Abbey falls into the same legal protection.

Terence Kilmartin was an Irish translator and literary editor of the Observer. Although born in Ireland, he was educated at Mayfield College in East Sussex.
