Stephen Angus Fairnie was a British musician, artist and actor, the frontman of the post-punk band Writz, and as one half, with Bev Sage, of the 1980s outfit Techno Twins (later just The Technos).He was born in Fraserburgh on 21st February 1951, and died from an asthma attack on 22nd February 1993 in Brixham, Devon.

St Peter's Church is the Anglican parish church in Petersfield. The West Tower contains eight bells, which are hung for traditional English style Change Ringing. The oldest bell dates back to 1750, and was cast by Robert Catlin of Holborn, London.

Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire also has an historic heritage pub owned by Samuel Smith's brewery of Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. Holborn has both the Princess Louise and the Cittie of York, whereas Beverley has the White Horse - also known as Nellie's after a long-serving past landlady.

Cartmel, Cumbria, England (formerly in Lancashire) is also associated with the Pilgrimage of Grace.

This was one of a number of uprisings, by the Church against the Crown.

The village halls in both Penruddock and Warnford in Hampshire have recently had air source heat pumps fitted to reduce environmental impact and heating cost.

Lacock was the childhood home of Henry Fox Talbot, photography pioneer. His work is celebrated in a permanent exhibition there. However he was born at Melbury House, his mother's parents' home in the parish of Melbury Sampford in Dorset.
