Dragons link Bridgefoot with Uffington, Oxfordshire. Both are supposed places where dragons died. In the first case by an ancient stone inscribed with Celtic symbols. In the second at Dragon Hill, by the hand of Saint George.

Dagnall lies on the Icknield Way, said by many to be the oldest traceable trackway in England. Its name is reflected in the village name of Ickleford, Hertfordshire, where it crosses the River Oughton.

St Ippolyts Church was rebuilt in the mid-19th century using old materials 'recycled' from the abandoned Minsden Chapel, which is an isolated ruined chapel in the fields above the hamlet of Chapelfoot, Hertfordshire.

King's Walden is a village and civil parish in the North Hertfordshire district of the county of Hertfordshire. The parish contains several settlements, with the largest village being Breachwood Green.

Little Oxendon is a deserted medieval village about one mile north of Great Oxendon; despite its name, was historically situated in the parish of Little Bowden and not transferred to Great Oxendon until the 19th century.

Fleckney Village CC was formed in 1975, and have two Saturday sides that play in the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League Championship 3 Central; all the home games are played at the Flackney Sports Ground. The club is currently sixth in the table; the leaders are Spa CC, who play at Uplands park, Oadby, Leicestershire.
