Crosby in Merseyside also has a church that is jointly dedicated to St Peter and St Paul.
"Reaching" a bit -- two gentlemen who were a famous partnership in film comedies of times past, were Bing Crosby and Bob Hope. It can occasion surprise, how many settlements there are up and down Great Britain called just Hope -- many of them tiny hamlets with little or nothing to say about them. One of those with "rather more about it", is Hope, Flintshire -- a little way north-west of Wrexham.

Perhaps I've got religion on the brain this morning -- but this sounds like the name of some zealous religious reformer a few centuries back...
May as well keep on the religious theme -- Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne and Wear, also has a church dedicated to St. Michael and All Angels.

Polesworth in Warwickshire also has a church that is dedicated to St Editha.
Polesworth is effectively the northernmost settlement in Warwickshire -- pretty much so, anyway. The very southernmost settlement in that county, is Little Compton -- between Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh (neither of them in Warwickshire).

Macclesfield quite often goes locally by the shortened "Macc" - in fact, a popular leisure activity for people living in Stockport is to go to "Macc and back", cycling along the converted old railways!
Another place that's shortened in a similar way, to a homophone of "Macc", is Machynlleth, Powys, of which the most famous use of the first four letters of its name would be in the "Mach Loop", the name given to the ring of valleys and mountains stretching up to Dolgellau and back that is frequently used by the RAF for low level training.

Southwark -- nowadays a district of Central London -- is, like Shrewsbury, the locale of a series (both of which I like) of murder-mystery novels set in distant historical times. With the former, it's Ellis Peters's Brother Cadfael stories: set at the time of the 12th-century war between Stephen and Matilda. The latter: S.W. Perry's tales of Nicholas Shelby, in Elizabeth I's reign.
