This thread has made me realise how few services I've done the full length of in 1 go!
Kirkby/Headbolt Lane - Liverpool Central, Euston - Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Picc - Hatfield, Rose Hill Marple, Sheffield, Chester, Stourbridge Shuttle, Inverness - Kyle, Aberdeen, Edinburgh. London Liverpool Street - Southend Victoria, Waterloo & City line, Leeds - Ilkley, Bradford, Skipton, Knottingley, York (via Harrogate), Doncaster, Ilkley-Bradford, Liverpool - Wigan, Edgware Road - Wimbledon
Probably missing a couple I didn't think of

I like to split up journeys wherever possible (and I avoid changing at termini and usually use small stations if possible to tick them off).

And maybe counts:
Chester - Liverpool Central
Which rail services have you done from the first to last station in one go (counting splitting / combining services as one through service, and loops as done when returning to the start point)?

I've done (probably forgetting some, and with a longer list than I expected)

TfL services:
  • Woodford – Hainault
  • Finchley Central – Mill Hill East
  • Bank – Waterloo
  • Tower Gateway – Beckton
  • Romford – Upminster
  • Gospel Oak – Barking (pre-Barking Riverside)
  • Wimbledon – New Addington
  • Heathrow Terminal 5 – Paddington
  • Liverpool Street – Chingford / Enfield Town
  • Liverpool Street – Shenfield (TfL Rail; not via Whitechapel)
ScotRail:
  • Glasgow Central – Ayr / Lanark / via Dumfries to Carlisle (and Dumfries – Carlisle) / via Shotts to Edinburgh
  • Stranraer – Ayr
  • Glasgow Queen Street – Alloa / Edinburgh Waverley
  • Edinburgh Waverley – Tweedbank / Leven / North Berwick
Northern:
  • Newcastle – Chathill / Morpeth / Middlesbrough / Carlisle
  • Middlesbrough – Whitby
  • Carlisle – Barrow-in-Furness / Leeds
  • Goole – Leeds
  • Sheffield – Cleethorpes via Gainsborough Central / via Pontefract to York
  • Leeds – Nottingham / Ilkley / via Cross Gates to York / Doncaster / Sheffield / Bradford Forster Square
  • Manchester Piccadilly – Sheffield / Buxton / Hadfield / via Stockport and via Manchester Airport to Crewe / Stoke-on-Trent / via Altrincham to Chester / Rose Hill Marple
  • Preston – Blackpool South
  • Wigan North Western – Liverpool Lime Street
TransPennine Express:
  • Newcastle – Edinburgh Waverley
  • Scarborough – York
Grand Central:
  • London Kings Cross – Sunderland
Lumo:
  • London Kings Cross – Edinburgh
Hull Trains:
  • Hull – London Kings Cross
LNER:
  • London Kings Cross – Leeds / Edinburgh Waverley
  • Newcastle – Edinburgh Waverley
EMR:
  • Sheffield / Corby – London St. Pancras
  • Barton-on-Humber – Cleethorpes
  • Skegness – Nottingham
Avanti:
  • Glasgow Central – London Euston (via Bolton and Alsager due to engineering works)
London Northwestern:
  • London Euston – Crewe
  • Watford Junction – St. Albans Abbey
Not yet a list of all those I can remember.

Given this has an actual thread, I'll make my list formatted better (and added a couple)

  • Kirkby/Headbolt Lane - Liverpool Central
  • Euston - Manchester Piccadilly
  • Manchester Picc - Hadfield, Rose Hill Marple, New Mills Central, Sheffield, and Chester (Mid-Cheshire line).
  • Stourbridge Shuttle
  • Inverness - Kyle, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh.
  • London Liverpool Street - Southend Victoria
  • Waterloo & City line
  • Leeds - Ilkley, Bradford, Skipton, Knottingley, York (via Harrogate), and Doncaster.
  • Ilkley-Bradford
  • Liverpool - Wigan
  • Edgware Road - Wimbledon
  • Paddington - Heathrow Terminal 5
  • Birmingham Airport Air-Rail Link
  • Manchester Victoria - Manchester Airport (Metrolink)
and I don't know if this counts becuase I didn't ride the whole headcode but I used all the stations it listed from the start stop
  • Chester - Liverpool Central
I often end up avoiding doing end-to-end journeys to get more trains in (e.g. I have a plan for a West Midlands Day Ranger incuding Birmingham - Hereford, but I arrive at New St in enough time to get an earlier train to Bromsgrove to board the same Hereford train there)

Frankfurt - Brussels
That's one I haven't done end-to-end; I've preferred to split my Brussels – Mannheim journeys at Cologne (and going via Frankfurt(M) Hbf might add a bit of time on, but I've noticed at least one Brussels service in a few weeks due to start from Frankfurt Flughafen).

It would take a long time to try to produce a definitive list from half a century of travelling, so here is a local flavour.

To or from Liverpool Street I have a least these:

Braintree
Parkeston Quay
Lowestoft
Norwich via Ipswich
Chingford
Enfield Town
Stansted Airport
Cambridge*
Norwich via Ely
Kings Lynn
Peterborough

* Liverpool Street-Cambridge is via 5 different routes:

Clapton and Lea Valley
Stratford and Lea Valley
Seven Sisters
Stratford, Canonbury and Welwyn
Stratford, Canonbury and Hertford North

Long distance routes in or out of East Anglia via Peterborough include:

Liverpool-Norwich
Norwich-Birmingham
Cambridge-Birmingham
Cambridge-Skegness

Oh, many - so many that I'd need a team of researchers to account for them all.

That said, I've done the entire S&C enough times, the entire Cumbrian Coast line, Scarborough, Bridlington, York, Manchester, Sheffield, London Kings Cross (and St Pancras when Hull Trains are on diverts) and Liverpool from Hull

That'll do for now

With fifty odd years of travel that I can remember, I suspect that this list is going to take days to compile and be very long (as over that time there will have been a near endless list of combinations of start and end points - many of which no longer exist as a pairing - even if we leave out engineering-related one-offs) . My longest is Aberdeen-Penzance, although I had to swap to a GWR HST at Exeter St David’s so the Voyager didn’t get water in its engines passing a squally Dawlish.

Select other ones:
Stourbridge Town-Stourbridge Junction
Bradford Forster Square-London Kings Cross
Bradford Interchange-London Kings Cross
Lymington Pier-Brockenhurst
Carlisle-Newcastle
Carlisle-Leeds
Leeds-Heysham Port
Ljubljana-Kamnik Graben

Last month I did both circles of the Glasgow subway from "end to end" in one go. I've done it before, but wanted to do it again on the new stock.

I've done the majority of UK rail and metro/tram routes from end to end except for the lines that passed by where I was staying or where I parked my car at the time I did them. As my goal is just to ride the full network and I don't care that much about doing the full route of every line in one go.

For me, the main reason I would want to do a whole line in one go where possible, is to get the seat of my choice at the first station, as it doesn't count if I don't get a full view out of a window in daylight. In many cities it is near impossible to get a seat let alone my preferred seat when boarding at busy times/stations.

I've done the same for of most of the Berlin U and S Bahn lines, and what would be called the U and/or S were they German, in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland, as well as the Dublin Luas and DART.

For a few years, I would do Swansea to Manchester end to end every week. However, TfW split a lot of trains and Cardiff to Manchester is less impressive (though I have done it regularly). These days I do part of the journey by car and accept I am not doing any end-to-end journeys.

My last end to end was Swansea to London Paddington as part of a trip to Heathrow. I was using Terminal 3 so no end to end on the Heathrow Express. Coming back I got off short at Neath as it has a better bus connection.

I have done Euston to Glasgow, but nothing as impressive as many of those on here with Aberdeen, Inverness or both.

Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston via Woodhead, Sheffield, Derby. Technically a Sunday through service to Saint Pancras diverted at Bedford to Bletchley (loco change to AC electric) and Euston.
