Hi,

My question is what (if any!) CrossCountry services travelling through Cheltenham Spa on weekdays (but not Friday) are booked for a double Voyager?

Need the information for a new SimSig timetable I'm writing! :)

Many thanks in advance!

The only service that I know of which is Double Voyager is the following:

1S49 11:25 Plymouth to Dundee 21:41. Both sets go as far as Newcastle Central before splitting with one set continuing to Dundee and the other set returning as far as Birmingham New Street.

This service doubles up at Bristol Temple Meads and is made from the set off:

1V51 10:07 Manchester to Bristol Temple Meads 13:09.

The set off the 1V51 forms the leading set from Bristol Temple Meads.

Hope this is of some help to you.

Cheers

Mike

Also 1v64 is a double set. Splits at Bristol temple meads.
Rear unit turn couples to the unit off 1v63 which is LOOU, and forms double set 1m77 via Gloucester back to B'ham New Street

1S49 (1125 Plymouth to Dundee) calls at Cheltenham at 1425.

1V64 (1306 Edinburgh to Plymouth) calls at Cheltenham at 1852.

1M77 (2000 Bristol to Birmingham) calls at Cheltenham at 2056

Just for the record, other booked pairings include:
1S33 0703 Birmingham to Edinburgh
1G91 2127 Manchester to Birmingham
1M76 1935 Newcastle to Birmingham

Thanks for that Trolleyman. I forgot about that one as I usually finish my spotting by 4:30pm during the winter months and don't see that one going down.

Cheers

I'm quite staggered at how few are doubled up... There's me grumbling that the ones I catch are never doubled, I'm not surprised now.

Roll on MML cascades !

(Hopefully)

There are more doubled up on Fridays and Sundays, but it often rides on how many HSTs are out and about. Normally there are 4 on a Friday, but only 2-3 at the moment.

The 1643 (ish) off Oxford to Manchester (ex Bourenmouth) is a double 220 on a Friday, but if there are not enough HSTs out, this can be 4 vice 8, which is real cosey, even in first class. I know this is not via Cheltenham however
