Service Engineer medical

Hi everyone
I have been successful in being offered a job as a service engineer for Govia Thameslink Railway. I have my medical in a few weeks and wondered if anyone who has had it can tell me if they test foe colour blindness?? I am mildly colourblind prodminatly on red/green, have been an engineer for 10 years and never caused me an issue but wondered if this is part of it and pass/fail? I havent been asked at any point during the recruitment process if I am colour blind . Thanks in advance

I’d be surprised if you weren’t tested on colour vision as presumably this is a safety-critical role. The test I did was the Ishihara test. This was a driver’s medical though I’m fairly sure that test is the industry standard.

I have been accepted to attend an assessment day for a Service Engineer. Could you tell me what I can expect on the day?
