Hi all. I’m currently in process of applying for a Service Delivery Assistant / Train Dispatcher for GWR. Can anyone who’s taken the interview give me some tips on what to expect? Also I know the base salary is around 25k but how much can you push that up with OT, Sundays etc i.e. is OT readily available and how much?. Cheers

Have you passed the online tests yet.

I have also applied for this role but was unsuccessful at the online test they ask you to undertake when you press submit on the job application form.

Does it (the first test required) have right/wrong answers? - I am seeking advice on where I went wrong at such an early stage.

I’ve passed the online test required as soon as you apply.
You’ll be sent the TDMT (Train Dispatch Multi Tasking Test) on OPC. Pass that and then you’ll have an interview by the hiring manager. In terms of overtime and Sundays it’s very dependent on location. Larger stations like Bristol TM, Reading and London Pad will have more chances for overtime as they need more staff to cover platforms. In terms of Sundays there’s always stuff available at the majority of stations. Some locations also have night shifts which also have a increase in pay. Lmk if you need anymore info :)
