service centre supervisor (scot rail) help!

hi everyone, i have recently applied for this post at queen street station glasgow, past the online testing and now have an interview next tuesday. i have done a huge amount of research on scotrail and its history, just looking for some information on what to expect form the interview. i had applied for a trainee driver position 2 years ago and got to the driver manager interview stage, i would presume it will not be as in depth as that?

any information would be greatly appreciated, oh and anyone with links to sites with information on scotrail (as there is not much around apart from the wikipedia page and patchy bits here and there! eg employee numbers ect as i would like to go there with all the info i can)

Hi, I don't know anything about the role you've applied for but it's always an idea if you can go to Queen St and talk to someone in the role already. They love that kind of thing at FSR, maybe more for internal staff though, but check it out, can't do any harm.

Just soak up the info on the website, check out any poster campaigns in the stations, see what's the latest promotions? If you do all that you'll do well, I think. Have a good few questions to ask at interview, look sharp and look into FSR's safety history, ethos etc. Also, check out the rail awards stuff see if they've won anything this year and hit them with it!

My best advice is too visit the station and explain the role you have applied for to one of the guys at the barrier and they should get someone who can help you.

Scotrail, as the guy above said, love this stuff. I done it with my drivers interview and it helped considerably. When they ask you "what research have you done?" and you say well I visited the station and spoke to "bla bla" and he told me "bla bla", they will be very impressed.

At first I thought I was being a pain in the backside visiting the station, but in the end, it helped me get a drivers job.
