No doubt this question has been asked & answered before for similar situations, but I tried to search with no success

My journey on 16 August is from Bradford on Avon to Wigan with 3 different TOC''s (GWR, XCountry & Avanti)

I have Advance tickets for each of the 3 legs of the journey. (BOA to CNM, CNM to BHM & BHM to WGN)

The change at Bristol Parkway on the first leg should hopefully be fine as there is a wait of 37 minutes, but the change at Birmingham New Street is only 19 mins. I have been monitoring the XC train from Parkway to Birmingham over recent days, and maybe because of the enginneering work in the Bristol area, it has been over 15 minutes late arriving at New Street on several occasions (Today 15 mins late, yesterday 16 mins late & last Friday 21 mins late). This would certainly mean I would miss my Avanti train connection at New Street.
In such circumstances would my Advance ticket be automatically be accepted on the next Avanti service to Wigan an hour later?

My timings are BOA 10.28 to BPW 11.17 (GWR), BPW 11.44 to BHM 12.56 (XC) & BHM 13.15 to WGN 14.38 (Avanti)
.

That should be fine – it is advisable, but not mandatory, to obtain an endorsement of your ticket from on-train or station staff should a delay occur.

Thank you. That is re-assuring to know.
