Sending a Cheque

Hi,

This is probably in the wrong section of the forum but I wish to include a cheque with my letter to the Independent Appeals Office of Cross Country -however I'm not sure who I should make it payable to exactly.

I found the following -

Payment By Post
Payments by cheque or postal order can be made by post - please remember to write the Penalty Fare notice number on the back so that your payment can be easily referenced - this will avoid unnecessary letters being sent to you requesting payment.

Please make your cheques and postal orders payable to IRCAS, and post to:
Independent Revenue Collection & Support
PO Box 212
Petersfield
Hants
GU32 9BQ

However that was not on the Cross Country website so I'm unsure if that's the right place I should be sending it to.

Can anyone help?

If it is IPFAS who is dealing with the case then you should make it payable to RPSS and post it to RPSS, PO Box 89, Portsmouth, PO1 1EG.

No, but a number of TOCs also use outside firms for the processing and collection of Unpaid Fares Notices.

To the OP, if you are unsure please refer to the paperwork you've been given or contact CrossCountry directly who will be able to advise.

If you got those details on a notice, it's IRCAS and it'll be fine to do so by cheque. However it's far easier to do it online with a debit card, most people have one these days!
