Self ticket machine problem

I have bought hundreds of tickets before from the self ticket machines at Fratton but today I had an issue with one online booking I made (through Cross Country Trains, bought a few days ago). I would have seen the people in the ticket office but unfortunately they were closed.

The tickets are for June 10th and is for two SWT Promo single tickets from Waterloo to Fratton. I have double checked that I put down collect from Fratton.

After putting in the reference code I got a quick message flash up saying something along the lines of I cannot print the tickets from this machine and please see the booking hall staff. I tried three separate machines and got the same response. I bought two different sets of tickets minutes before with no problems.

Any ideas?

You will need to goto to the ticket office to get these printed.

I have double checked that I put down collect from Fratton.

It doesn't matter where you collect the tickets, the only reason they make you choose a station is to ensure that you don't try to collect the tickets from a station with no machine.

As others have said, you'll need to speak with either the ticket office staff or the telesales/web team at CrossCountry (since it was their website you used).

Will they be available from non-S&B machines? I believe SWT have a few Parkeon machines dotted about their network.

I wasn`t aware you could buy promotional tickets if the promo applies to a different train company as would have been the case here.

Thanks for the replies. Being in Chesterfield yesterday I tried one of their ticket machines and had no problems getting them printed.
