Selafield Line

A chap was speaking to me on twitter last night about Northern Rail, he told me he worked at Selafield and that they used to have a loco hauled train service, he said on that line now they have a number of 153's & 156 working the route.

He said their is a rumour going around that loco hauled workers trains may be up and running again in the near future, can anyone help with some infomation please ?

A friend who works for Northern out of Barrow told me that he was under the impression that these were coming back 'in 2013' - that was at Christmas though and I'm not aware of them resuming?

My understanding was that these were looked at (and test runs made?), but proved to be too costly.

That would be the "Glow-Ex"? Has been discussed recently on the forums, cancelled as explained by bolli.
