Neither of us knew until 2 days later, so I'm not sure if it counts, but me and @shredder1 were both in Wigan Wallgate and both taking pictures/recording 66059 go by (their trip report link here), you can see them towards the left of this frame from my video, near the lift.
A photo of 66059 passing Wigan Wallgate, a figure of a person is visible to the left, near the stairs.
You got as better shot than me though. I did meet a RailUK member at Stockholm Central station, Sweden last september.

@stuartmoss and I ended up on the same 158 from Leeds earlier - though neither of us were quite sure enough of the other’s identity to actually say hello until it was too late and they had already alighted

The guy temporarily (until we both moved) sat in front of me on the 0850 Manchester Picc to Windermere looks really, really familiar for some reason, to the point where I feel sure he’s a forumer. Haha. :)

I wonder if the young passenger at the buffet on the 2118 Preston to London Euston via Birmingham (I did Preston Crewe) I spoke to on Thursday was a forum member? He seemed to know his stuff. I was too flustered from a very stressful journey to ask.

Bumped into @theblackwatch at the far end of York Platform 8 waiting to photograph the 40013 Railtour this afternoon. Suppose I should have expected really but I only knew about the Railtour when I arrived at York and saw all the photographers

Good to see @Bungle965 in Ljubljana just now, and be able to have a catch up as far as Trbovlje, where he bailed and I’m headed on to Vienna!

I was on a regional EMU service from Bratislava to Vienna last Monday and I am sure the person diagonally across from me was browsing RailUK forums. I should of said hi.

I encountered @MrJeeves on my train today. We both boarded the same coach at the same station, and were using the same ticket, but I only clocked when I saw RF on his laptop screen

I've often wondered how Forum members would recognise each other :D.

I assume that once you reach an unspecified number of posts you are taught the secret walk! :D

And to keep on topic, I think I saw the YouTuber JenOnTheMove (don't know if she is on here) in Manchester yesterday going onto the canal path just in front of us.

I'm certain one of the regular posters who is a guard with EMR was working the train I was on between Norwich and Ely earlier. I was sure I recognised him as someone who was pointed out to me as a forum member.

If you're reading and checked someone with an Anglia Plus 3in7, hello!

I wonder if the GA Guard I was talking to on the last Norwich-Ipswich last night was also a forum member?

Did a full ticket check, which can't have taken long on that service, then came back and we had a chat about all things 720/745 and the old 170s.

One hopes you were each using your own tickets rather than both using the same ticket, otherwise I guess we will see you both posting in the disputes and prosecutions sub forum :)

This morning I got off the EuroSleeper at Dresden Neustadt as did four other English chaps. They seemed into their trains and cameras but I never thought to ask if they were forum members, so if you’re reading this, hope you enjoyed the schwebebahn and the blaues wunderbrücke!

I've just been talking to someone from Dumfries and Galloway on the delayed 17:07 TPE from Glasgow.

Now I've thought about it from the conversation, he reminds me very much of a forum member from that area, but can't think who off hand?

There's only 79,490 members to chose from, and assuming you recognise yourself, you've got a 1 in 79,489 chance to pick the right one :D

I was on the 13:08 Leeds - Nottingham today, when not only @yorksrob got on the same train at Wakefield Kirkgate, he sat in the seat directly in front of me. Both of us on parent visiting duties, me to Barnsley, him to East Anglia.

I was spotted in Chester by @TT-ONR-NRN recently. Neither of us work or live there so it was somewhat of a chance encounter! I was "otherwise engaged" at the time ;) so I didn't spot him back
