Driving in the car south tonight on the A1 at about 1715, I passed a slow GBRF 66 at the front of a long container train heading North on the ECML editDownline starting to pull away from the Nottingham / Lincoln level crossing junction, at the same time, the cause of the check could be seen as an identical slow train of 66 headed containers under the A1 from the ECML crossing towards Lincoln. Wish I hadn't been driving to get a pic:lol:

Ah you confused me there by saying

heading North on the ECML UP line

The first train, heading round to Lincoln, was 4E33 Felixstowe - Doncaster Railport which was running about 65 late - but was waiting for a couple of EC services on the Up main to pass before crossing over from the Down Main at Newark South (the only direct access to the Midland from the ECML at Newark). The other service continuing north on the DM was 4E24 Grain FLT - Leeds FLT; this was about 45 mins late. The two container trains were about 5 minutes apart.

LOL yep you spotted the deliberate mistake 5 points LOL
of course it was the Down line North to Retford LOL I shall alter

Yeh the way they were positioned, the rear waggon of the Lincoln bound train was not far off the rear ECML down waggon so it looked like the two had crossed paths, and odd to see two together Shame I was doing 70 at the time (honestly)
