Security Guards at stations

I made brief eye contact with security guards at Chorleywood and Amersham last night whilst bagging in Metro-land. It was unusual for me to see such guards coming from up North but it must be the norm for Tube stations (well mixed use stations such as these).

I was not aware these locations have security guards. Are you sure it was not just the Station Supervisor?

It was past midnight and they were wearing dark uniforms. I wasn't close enough to see the logo clearly that was sewn on. I'm only used to overnight staff at big stations (Liverpool, Manchester, Preston) so it would be interesting to know there are staff employed at these shacks when it is shut for the night.

Yes, every LU station has a Station Supervisor rostered to work 24/7 with a few small exceptions.

Capes Security used to do Glasgow Central. Think they all had gold medallions, not sure if they are still there.

East Midlands Trains have security staff on the platforms at Nottingham, in addition, they have security patrols onboard the train services. For certain special events, additional security personnel will be brought in to assist.
