Sectorisation with Today's Trains

Intercity, Regional Railways, Network South East, RES and freight companies.

If we were in Sector days, with today's rolling stock, which locos,.carriages and units would you place on which routes?

GWR, East Coast, MML- 800 series
Anglia mainline - 91s and mk4s
XC main routes - sliding door HSTs and maybe 68s with mk5s

Regional TPE - 220/221s, 180s and Anglia units
Regional interurban - 175, 170s
Branch lines - 196/7; 158

Don't know much about NSE, but Waterloo - South West - 220/1 and Anglia units

I hope that the new GBR set up willing facilitate some joined up, strategic thinking.

Anything longer distance within Regional Railways would be 68-hauled pressure-ventilated Mk2s refitted with power doors, with a variant of DBSOs on the end... oh, and a Mk1 buffet car with Timmy Taylor's Landlord on tap!

Intercity - 80xs, 390s, 91s and FLIRTs

ICWC: 390s and 805/807s and 397s
ICEC: 800s,801s,802s and 803s as well as 180s
ICGW: 800s and 802s
ICMML: 222s and 800s cascaded from the east coast
IC Anglia: 745s and 755s, alongside cascaded 91s for the norwich services.
ICXC: 222s (would be split inbetween the Midland and XC due to excess IETs) , 220s and 221s (cascaded from ICWC)


Regional Railways would be split between the Sprinters, Turbostars, the CAF Civity(s), 165/166s, 185s and the Class 68s as well as the Class 769
Scotrail would be the Sprinters, HSTs, 380s, 385s, 320s and the MK3 Br EMUS

Network South East would consist of the Electrostars in its entirety, the Aventras in their entirety , The Desiros (excluding the 350s, 450s and 444s) as this is a grey area as they run on intercity routes sometimes, and whatever BR Built EMUs that still run in the south east.

Grey Areas would be the Eurostars , 350s, 450s, 444s and 395s, and the Airport Express Trains
