Sounds like good news, but I await some other law that the government will bring in to cover this or some exemption that will still allow photgraphers to be stopped and questioned.

Acording to reports in today's papers, police will have to fall back on Section 43 which requires them to have 'reasonable suspicion' that someone is up to no good, rather than relying on the 'catch-all' Section 44.

This is brilliant news.

The police will now find it harder to harass innocent people for simply going about their lives. They can now spend more time dealing with real criminals.

'New' Labour have acted disgracefully. I am now embarrassed to admit that I was jubilant in 1997 when Labour won the election, although I wasn't eligible to vote in that election and have never voted for them since so at least my concisions is clear.

"Education, Education, Education" really meant "Debt, War for oil & draconian laws"

This awful 'New' Labour lied about so many things including their promise to re-nationalise. This meant that taxpayers got relatively little money from the sale of ROSCOs, only for the people who bought them to make many £millions when it became apparent that Labour had lied. (This was explained to me by an enthusiast who was high up at a ROSCO at the time, now retired).

Now we have an incredibly inefficient rail system thanks to these bungling buffoons.

Many of their mistakes will take ages to fix. But at least we can take photos without being illegally stopped and searched and harassed now!
