I'm booked on an Advance Single for the following trains:
10:30 Liverpool Street
12:25 Norwich
12:34 Norwich
13:06 Great Yarmouth
I've received an email informing me the 12:34 Norwich - Yarmouth train has been cancelled. It invites me either to claim a refund on my ticket or take the next train. The next Norwich - Yarmouth train that is running is the 13:34 from Norwich.
I need to travel, but instead of waiting an extra hour in Norwich, I'd like to leave an hour later from Liverpool Street (on the 11:30 Liverpool Street - Norwich). In this situation, am I permitted to take the later train from London?
If I were to refund the original advance at this stage and buy a new advance for the later 11:30 departure I'd have to pay double the price of the original ticket. Given the situation is out of my control, having to do that would be frustrating.
Thanks in advance for any any advice.
