Build a large new island between East Anglia, Belgium and the Netherlands and be connected to all three countries by tunnelled railways. Call it Beneuk and build new cities on it.

Doggerland would be better.

Not sure that reducing water storage capacity (even if it's fairly small) is all that great an idea.

The problem is that most engineers agree that hyperloop isn't going to deliver the list if things said of it.

It can't. The whole idea is ludicrous in the extreme. The basic science behind it doesn't take in to account the myriad of issues around keeping the tunnel depressurised or airlock cycling times.

Hyperloop will never happen.
