Good Morning All, I am in the process of submitting an application for a trainee driver position, having previously applied last year for the same position with the same TOC, and got as far as the psychometric tests. My question is this: would it be acceptable to copy and paste text from the first application as the job is exactly the same as are my reasons for applying, and experiences etc. Seems lazy but try as I might I can't put it any better than I did the first time, and it got me through the interview stage. Besides which it would be fundamentally dishonest to put anything different if my motivations etc have not changed. Would this be viewed negatively or am I overthinking it? Most grateful for any input, thanks for all replies.

I’m almost certain they won’t be comparing applications. I can’t see anything wrong with a copy and paste as long as everything is up to date. There’s no real requirement to submit a completely unique application everytime AFAIK.

As #2 and #3. I proof read anything I resubmitted and just made sure to amend the amount of years I'd worked for my current employer.

Thanks guys, much appreciated, I have done as you suggested. Still can't get it to submit though as it says I am missing information in the "Other Details" section.
I have scoured every answer and can't see what I have missed, tried save and logout/log back in, and logging in with a different browser. When I log back in it says 98 percent complete. Anyone else had the same problem on the Northern website?? Once again, thanks for all assistance

Just sussed it on the application form, for anyone applying for Northern - if you have autocomplete on your device it may enter a space after the text, which the system will read as incomplete for certain sections, eg the ones where you may have to answer N/A. Application is submitted now so settling in for a long wait

In regrds to the second application (not sure wether to go for it again after failing on MMI- besides have to wait another 6 months - and the current recruitment drive will have calmed down by then for TFW), do you mention in your application that you got that far? or make no mention of it?

Hi, second application bombed but they don't give feedback on individual applications, so I have no idea if it was due to the content of the application itself or the volume of applicants, but undeterred I have applied for it a third time at another location. Are you currently iun the job or looking to enter the profession?

Hi, I didn't mention this in either the second or third application and I the question didn't come up. IIRC, the first time when I got as far as the tests, I was sent anotherr series of questions which I had to complete ahead of the interview and it may have been asked in these.

I'm trying to get in. I, like you, reused my application for the same TOC, passed the first time but then did not make it beyond the paperwork the second time.
