Afternoon all :)

As I've now discovered how to create scenarios - it sounds complicated, it looks complicated, but honestly it isn't, so thanks to Darandio on that one - I've been trying to do them on Just Trains' SECML route.

However, when I choose the scenario start location, I only get 'route origin' as my choice. On every other route (take Bristol to Exeter for example) I can choose to start at any station of my choice along the route. On SECML, I only get Route Origin, which is Dundee.

Does anyone know any more on this one? Have they experienced it themselves? I've contact JT support but they weren't able to help on this one.

Thanks in advance.

The best thing to do is to ignore the whole starting a scenario from the main menu. If the route doesn't have markers for every station, it won't work, just as you describe.

Instead, start a scenario from within the scenario editor. To do this, either go into the route editor and then move in to the scenario editor or from the same menu you were selecting "New Scenario" click on a free roam and then click "edit scenario", this will put you in the editor.

Once in the scenario editor, navigate to where to where you want to be within the route either by flying or using the 2d overhead map, then on the middle left menu there is an orange icon which looks like the front of a train. Select "Standard Scenario Marker" which will allow you to place your scenario marker, which will then ask you to save. Click yes and you will be then transported to your own new scenario where you can click on the icon you have placed to fill in the relevant scenario details and then add your trains.

Sorry if that was a bit long winded, I am nowhere near a copy of RW at the moment and have had to do it from memory.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go over the weekend and will report back :)

Update 18/09...

JT have released a service pack for SECML, and scenario start locations have now been included, as well as other bug fixes and improvments :)
