Been trawling the threads for Priv upgrades via SeatFrog. Just wanted to clarify something.
Can I use it when using a dated box on the Staff Travel Card or does it need to be used with a discounted purchased ticket.
Specifically looking to try it between Birmingham - Glasgow on Avanti.

The latest information is always available on the Rail Staff Travel site in the Staff Travel Restrictions document.

As of the current Summer 2023 restrictions (as at 10th June 2023, check the restriction document again just before you travel in case it’s changed), all standard class Rail Staff Travel facilities holders can use Seatfrog upgrades on Avanti services at the public rate. If you get a Seatfrog upgrade, you get the full catering service on the train.

Whilst catering varies on different TOCs, as of the time of writing, every TOC that uses Seatfrog (except for Caledonian Sleeper) accepts using standard class staff travel facilities of any kind to use Seatfrog upgrades.
