Question re upgrading on XC trains Derby to Bodmin. Want to purchase upgrade for elderly relative who is not on the internet (90+)

If upgrade purchased would a printout of the upgrade email/barcode be accepted by the train manager onboard?

No they have a one way advance ticket on a direct train on a Thursday. Upgrade is available for £45

Then yeah, the upgrade barcode is fine

Make sure you show both your original ticket and upgrade barcode to the Train Manager when asked to show your tickets.
