Seatfrog & Avanti - October 2021

Hello everyone. A newbie question so apologies if the answer is obvious!

I’m travelling to Liverpool from Euston on Saturday (23 October). I’ve booked two standard tickets and was hoping to use Seatfrog to bid for an upgrade; I haven’t used Seatfrog before. However, I cannot appear to bid on Seatfrog for this route and the Help section says that Avanti offers are available only until 21 October.

This seems odd to me, as my travel date is in five days and other TOCs are booking much further out; is this actually normal for Avanti journeys on Seatfrog or is there something unusual happening between the two companies? And would there be other opportunities to upgrade from Standard to First (not Standard Premium, which seems a bit of a waste of money(!))?

Thanks - I had a look at these threads but they didn’t cover my query, which is whether it’s unusual for Seatfrog not to have upgrade options on Avanti only four days before travel.

I have noticed that Seatfrog upgrades for Saturdays - for whatever reason - seem to be few and far between.

From reading https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/avanti-west-coast-standard-premium.212357/ Avanti seem to be running trains with only one carriage of first class at times. So they presumably don't have enough spare seats to offer any up to Seatfrog.
